Building with the world around me
BirdScope Lab began with listening for birds; it has become a way to experiment with audio, visual identification, and the kind of feedback that makes a field tool better over time. The LEGO collection is now a public inventory of sealed sets, with a way to gather the ones you want to ask about.
Following the context
Wayfinder explores a question I keep running into: what would it take for an AI assistant to understand the work happening across a person's tools without making that person reconstruct the context every time? I'm also interested in finding useful signals in incomplete records and making the missing pieces easier to see. Those ideas are being tested, not offered as finished products.
Giving the past its proper place
Recovering the old photography and calculator programs has been surprising. I want to see that early work clearly, including its unfinished edges, and use it to understand how I got here.
